Letter of Appeal
ABOUT THE "SMALL PLAN" OF THE GRACE FUND TO SUPPORT PEOPLE AFFECTED BY TYPHOON YAGI 2024
Accompanying the CFVG Alumni Association and Sao Khue Volunteer Group, Hong An Fund would like to share the program plan "THE STORM PASSES, I DREAM OF GOING TO SCHOOL" to help students at schools directly and heavily affected by this storm.
Specifically, the first activity, we will go to 7 kindergartens in Thuong Ha commune, Bao Lac, Cao Bang to help children return to school after the serious consequences of Typhoon Yagi's circulation through practical activities such as renovating facilities including repairing toilets, classrooms and buying gifts for 251 children and 18 teachers including warm clothes, nap mats, milk, cups and bowls. Nearly two months after the disaster, many children have not returned to school or are studying in very difficult and deprived conditions.
At the same time, in the program we will visit and award scholarships to students of Luc Hon Primary School and Luc Hon Secondary School, Binh Lieu District, Quang Ninh.
The expected time for the trip to Quang Ninh is early November and the trip to Cao Bang (a mountainous area 12 hours away from Hanoi) is in the middle of the month. The total estimated cost to support the schools we have shared information above is 200 million VND (170 million VND already). Currently, the organizing committee still needs to support an additional 30 million VND including cash and necessities, food such as fresh milk, stainless steel cups and bowls, foam floor mats, and warm clothes for preschool children.
(Place to receive artifacts in Hanoi Capital.)
This charity program hopes to give small gifts that bring joy and hope to children in their studies and aims to support basic facilities for schools (electricity, water, kitchen and toilet facilities...) to help students and teachers at schools overcome difficulties, towards education and creating real opportunities for future generations.
